This page is where you can listen to the original 1973 Takarazuka BeruBara album with Anna Jun and Haruna Yuri.

I made this page because it is a very important album to me, and I want people to be able to listen to it, but if I post it on YouTube, the Sumire Police will come after me, and I'll get banned from Takarazuka theater.

This album was ripped from an album that Hankyu no longer cares about preserving, so I have decided to do it instead. Unfortunately, I cannot plaster this page everywhere, but I can show it to the friends I want to hear it the most.

If I sent you here, it's not out of some effort to get you to read Rose of Versailles. It's not because I'm trying to spread Takarazuka Magic in your life. There is no magic in Takarazuka, okay? Only conservative men and unfortunate racial caricatures hidden by a veil of tasteful lesbianism. They don't give a FUCK about preserving this album, but I FUCKING DO!!!!

If I sent you here, it's because I know you will hear this music and be transported into another world. It's because I know you will hear the harps and the symphonies and the nineteen seventy fucking three of it all and remember that love exists and everything is beautiful and even if you can't get the perma-stains out of your cast-iron bathtub that's older than God in your shitty fucking delapidated gas leak ass apartment, that everything is going to work out because the universe has brought you a GIFT!

It ain't about Oscar. It ain't about Andre. Forget they exist, for a second. I know, it's hard to forget Oscar exists, because I've made it my business to keep that from happening, but I want you to immerse yourself in the Feeling. I want you to feel like you're being lifted to the clouds by a pegasus-drawn carriage. I want the love in your heart to make you sick. I want the disco orchestral music to overcome you to the point where you tear all the sleeves off of your white poet-sleeve blouses.
